Free music festival planned at Hopkins Park

DeKALB – The Burning Cicada Arts and Music Picnic Festival will take place on Sept. 26 at Hopkins Park.

The free outdoor concert will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dee Palmer Band Shell. It is limited to 50 attendees.

Performers include Dave D. K. Kolars, Chamni Sripraram, Renee Nanzer, Joe O’Brien, Dan Simon, Gavin Wilson, Roger Hintzsche, Steve Estes, Joe Pasteris, Taylor Atkins, Joe Kvasnicka, Wesly Carr, Dale Ludewig, Mike Warfel, and Jordan Johnston.

Those interested in attending must register for the free tickets. This will allow organizers to track the number of attendees as well as contact those present in the case of a reported COVID-19 case. When registering, indicate your name and phone for this purpose. Attendees must wear a mask and and maintain a 6-foot distance from other attendees.
