MALTA – Dale Carnegie Training will bring “Strictly Business,” a course for young professionals who seek to become strong leaders, to Kishwaukee College.

The training will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 9, 16 and 23. The class will meet in Room A1222 on campus. The cost of the course is $1,200.

The Dale Carnegie “Strictly Business’ course has significantly increased the personal and professional success of emerging leaders all over the world for more than 100 years. The organization offers hands-on exercises, role-playing, situational coaching, real-time feedback and real-world assignments to help participants apply what they learn into their lives.

Participants in the “Strictly Business” course will develop the confidence to be successful in an increasingly competitive marketplace by learning the following critical skills: ability to present clear, convincing ideas; building lasting relationships; gaining cooperation; and managing change.

This highly interactive course uses a “learn-and-practice” style to maximize the participant’s ability to implement their new skills into their daily activities immediately. Participants can expect to optimize their performance and add more value to their personal and professional lives.

The instructor, Cathy Onion, has extensive experience teaching, training and coaching young adults at both the collegiate and professional level. She served as assistant professor in the management and marketing department at Western Illinois University for 18 years, where she taught business communications, “Principles of Management” and “Business and Technology in a Global Society.”
